Technician Training and Education
Many AMRG Industry Supporters offer training and educational resources for technicians. As a certifying body for the Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) and assistive mobility industry, AMRG does not develop, provide, or endorse specific education or training programs.

AMRG Certification validates a technician's ability to perform service and repair work in accordance with established industry standards across a broad range of assistive mobility and complex rehab technology (CRT) equipment.

Assistive Mobility Repair Technician (AMRG Certified Technician) Requirements:
All certification requirements must be completed within 12 months before or after payment of the AMRG Certification fee, and all materials must be submitted for evaluation within 12 months after payment.
AMRG Certification Fee: $200.00 USD
Applicants must provide:
Documentation of 10 hours of CRT/assistive mobility technician-related continuing education submitted as CECs, CEUs, or a combination of both. Documentation must include your name, course name or topic, date, program length, and presenter information.
- Documentation of CRT/assistive mobility equipment manufacturer training, including your name, course name or topic, date, program length, and presenter information. This training may count toward the continuing education requirement.
- Documentation of 2,000 hours of CRT/assistive mobility repair technician work experience.
- Successful completion of the AMRG Online Exam, which includes 120 questions completed in one session and requires a passing score of 70% or higher.
- A signed AMRG Code of Conduct.
AMRG certification is valid for two years.

AMRG Master technician CERtification
The AMRG Master Technician designation recognizes experienced technicians who aspire to leadership within the industry. AMRG Master Technicians are authorized to oversee and validate completion of the AMRG On-the-Job Training (OTJ) Model for future Master Technician candidates.
Applicants must provide:
- Current certification as an AMRG Certified Technician
- Documentation of 6,000 hours of CRT/assistive mobility repair technician work experience completed within the three years immediately preceding application. The initial 2,000 hours submitted for AMRG Certification may be applied toward this requirement. Documentation from multiple employers may be submitted to fulfill this requirement.
- Successful completion of the AMRG On-the-Job Training (OTJ) Model under the supervision and validation of an AMRG Master Technician.

AMRG RECertification
AMRG Recertification supports ongoing professional development and helps technicians remain current with evolving assistive mobility repair practices.
AMRG Recertification Fee: $150.00 USD
Recertification Requirements:
- Recertify at the highest certification level earned.
- Provide documentation of 20 hours of assistive mobility repair technician continuing education completed after the certification date listed on your current credential. Hours may be submitted as CECs, CEUs, or a combination of both, and must include Your Name, Course Name/Topic, Date, Program Length, and Presenter Information.
- Submit the required materials at least three weeks before your certification expires, and no earlier than three months in advance.
AMRG Recertification is valid for two years.
